Allison Willete RN, ND
I grew up a farm kid in southern Minnesota. I graduated with a BA in Music and English, but found I wanted to follow an interest in medicine. So I went back to school to become an RN. After many years as a nurse – my interest turned to homeopathy and complementary medicine. I loved being a nurse, but I felt that our healthcare needed more people who could understand both the worlds of conventional medicine and complimentary medicine. I followed my heart and left nursing to study naturopathic medicine in Portland, Oregon, at National University of Natural Medicine.
I created my business Good Sense Healthcare to provide a service for all people who are wanting to improve their health, wellness, and practice preventative medicine. I later created Project Menopause because I felt all people experiencing menopause need more information, and help with managing symptoms. Folks going through this transition need a place to talk, learn and help each other. As a healthcare practitioner, my objective is to support my patients in achieving their goals and attaining the most optimal health possible, starting from where they are today.
When I’m not seeing patients, I’m a friend, mother, wife, sister, aunt, and daughter. I enjoy watching baseball, spending time outdoors with my dog, going to the movies, and potluck dinners with friends and family. Life is good.
